Demand Justice for Noxolo Nogwaza

Take Action On This Issue

In 2011, 24-year-old Noxolo Nogwaza was murdered in South Africa. Her attacker(s) raped, repeatedly beat and stabbed her, apparently because of her sexual orientation, before dumping her body in a drainage ditch. Taunts and insults against LGBTI individuals in South Africa are common, as are hate crimes like sexual assault and other physical attacks - particularly in rural areas. The authorities’ inaction leads to a greater sense of fear and insecurity for the LGBTI community.

Demand justice for Noxolo Nogwaza and help bring an end to the climate of fear for the LGBT community in South Africa!
