Stand Against Torture: Release the Senate Report on CIA Torture

In 2009, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) announced a review of the Central Intelligence Agency’s (CIA) detention and interrogation program as part of U.S. counterterrorism efforts. The report has been completed, but there is a strong possibility that it will never be released, due to political pressure from pro-torture politicians and pundits. Public release of the CIA torture report is a critical step toward accountability, and a much-needed check against torture and other ill-treatment occurring now or in the future.
